    Well then apparently consumers have fairly fond memories of their childhood… a childhood filled with Fisher Price. Many GUIs are childish and flashy… it catches people’s attention… but then again I’m the type of person that says “If you need a GUI… you probably don’t NEED a computer… it’s just a convenience.” :)

    How’s the weather up there on that high horse? I mean, come one. Computers themselves are conveniences. Do you use a compiler to write programs. That is most definitely a conveninece. Unless you actually use NAND components to make your programs, I wouldn’t judge people who make use of a better designed interface to make them more efficient.

    I also find it ironic that most computer science colleges at major universities require students to purchase MacBooks, if Macs are only useful for their pretty colors.
